Mark your calendars NOW!! Liberty Elementary will be hosting its second school and community Lucky Lion 5K Run and non-competitive 1-mile Family Fun Walk on SATURDAY, MARCH 16, 2013. If you were able to join us last year, you know that it will be a great time for the whole family! If this will be your first year participating in the event, we welcome you with open arms and big smiles! Congratulations on making the choice to stay fit and healthy, while supporting our school. All proceeds from this race will go directly to the Liberty Elementary School PTO. It’s a “win-win”!! Early bird registration ends FEBRUARY 15, 2013. Signing up early for this event will be the perfect way for you to stay on track with all of your New Year’s health and fitness goals!
5K Awards: Top overall male and female finishers will receive awards. In addition, the fastest finishing male and female in the following age brackets will receive medals: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and above.
Race Location: Park at Liberty Elementary. Start/Finish line is located on Munger Road, just south of the west entrance to the Liberty Elementary school parking lot. Parking will be available in the school parking lot on race day. Click here to see the location of Liberty Elementary school.
Race Time: Both events will begin promptly at 8:30am.
Course Route: Walkers will begin just south of Liberty Elementary at Naperville and Munger Roads, turn around at Brewster’s Creek, and return to the start/finish line. Runners will begin just south of Liberty Elementary at Naperville and Munger Roads, turn right onto Schiferl Road, right onto Brewster’s Creek, and finally loop back onto Munger Road to the start/finish line.
Raffle: Each registered participant will be entered in a raffle to take place immediately following the race/walk. Winners must be present.
Payment and Registration: Please complete one copy of the registration form and waiver for each member of your family that will be participating. Send cash or one check per family, please, made out to Liberty Elementary PTO. Please include your phone number on the check. NO CREDIT CARDS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Packet Pick-Up: You may pick up your race packet at the Bartlett Community Center prior to race day Wednesday, March 13-Thursday, March 14, from 5:30am-10:00pm or on the morning of the race starting at 7:30am at Liberty Elementary.
